Assisted Living Can Help You or a Loved One to Continue to Live a Safe and Happy Retirement

Assisted Living communities have come a long way in the past few decades. Gone are the days of depressing medical facilities. Today's Assisted Living communities focus on letting seniors age in place in an environment surrounded by friends and fun activities while still getting the much-needed medical assistance and day-to-day care they require. As a resident of an Assisted Living community, seniors have access to social events, a community of their peers, and apartments and condos they call their own. Medical staff is on-site 24/7 to perform activities outlined by a resident's care plan, and staff is on hand to provide meals, laundry, and other services. Assisted Living is a great option when you want to enjoy life without the daily chores while getting just enough of a helping hand when you need it.

Memory Care Communities Can Help Reduce the Danger to Your Mom or Dad and Release Your Family from the Stress of Caregiving

Families that are caring for a parent at home with Dementia often find themselves in over their heads. The cognitive decline and behavior changes can be too much for adult children already managing their jobs and families. One positive outcome of the growing population of seniors with Dementia is the added effort being placed on research and treatment for those struggling with memory loss. New strategies based on this research are being implemented in modern Memory Care communities, including Neuroplasticity and Montessori-based activities. These new treatments and the physical and medical care services seniors with Dementia often require help families continue building meaningful memories with their loved ones, knowing that they are in a safe and loving environment.

Is It Time to Let Someone Else Handle the Day-to-day Chores so Your Can Live Your Best Life?

Are you a senior looking for an upgrade in your quality of life? Are you ready to regain the social life you once had? For seniors that are active, healthy, and see their best years ahead of them, an Independent Living community might be just what you are looking for. Today's Independent Living communities are vibrant and exciting places, full of amenities and activities that seniors love to participate in. In an Independent Living Community, you can be as social and engaged as you want to be in the comfort of your own home without the stresses of daily chores like laundry, cooking, and yard work. Independent Living offers upscale living quarters, four-start amenities, and caring and attentive staff to help you take the load off and enjoy more of your life.

When Your Loved One Requires Serious Personal Care, We Can Help You Find the Right Nursing Home

When the need for around-the-clock monitoring and medical care arises, your family needs the assurance that a care facility can provide these services with expertise, respect, and integrity. We help families understand the complicated options when placing their loved ones in a nursing care facility. As senior care placement experts, we know the capabilities, staff certifications, and administration of local nursing homes and provide you with an objective understanding of their offer. We can even help you determine if a nursing home is not the right option when an Assisted Living facility may provide all the care your loved one needs.

How We Help You Find the Best Community for Your Senior

How We Help Tabs - CarePatrol - panel1

It all begins with a simple phone call. Why is this call so important?

Choosing a safer senior housing option, unfortunately, cannot be made by appearance alone. What is most important is something that really can’t be seen. It is "Can this community really care for your senior?" That's why CarePatrol's advisors complete a "Care Discovery" and base our recommendations on care options that can specifically meet your individual needs and preferences.

Guided Tour of Communities

We believe in private & personalized tours. We literally walk you through the steps. You will never get a list from us and be told to “go visit them alone, or on your own.” After we’ve matched your individualized needs to safer care options in your area, we will accompany you on a tour of each one of them. Or, we will provide a virtual tour if that works better for you. You are never alone because we will be your personal care guide from start to finish.

Full Care Details & Transparent Pricing

We insist on transparency with pricing & services. We don’t like surprises either. How to pay for care is always a concern and a valid question of our clients. Another important question relates to what services are provided in a specific care option. We can help alleviate these concerns. We will inform you of private, Veterans, or other government programs that you may be eligible for.

"Families know they can trust me because my heart is to help their loved one(s) find a safe and fulfilling place to live."

Scott considers it a blessing and a privilege to be able to help seniors and their families during a time when many emotional and practical issues must be considered and worked through.  He carefully evaluates his client's care needs, concerns, and preferences to establish the appropriate level of care. Is Independent Living appropriate or should Assisted be considered? Are there cognitive issues that might bring Memory Care into the discussion? From there, hobbies, interests, and financial means are considered to find the best possible matches. We arrange and accompany you on tours, facilitating the entire decision-making process.
Scott went through the same daunting experiences recently with his mother, an experience that gave him the passion that he has today to help families.

Helping Wilmington and Brandywine Valley Residents Find the Right Level of Senior Care For Their Loved Ones.

At CarePatrol of Northern Delaware and South Chester, we have dedicated ourselves to helping our neighbors transition to the next phase of their lives with understanding, dignity, and respect. Whatever the cause for senior living placement, we have the skills and knowledge to help your family make the right decision. We are different from other care placement agencies because we see every client's journey to a safer and more enjoyable living experience to the very end. We consider all aspects of your family's situation when presenting you with senior care living options. From your finances to location to services offered, we examine every facet of your needs and desires to deliver you a community that checks every box and exceeds your expectations.

Our Process

Every senior care placement begins by learning about your family and its specific needs. After an initial conversation over the phone, we will travel to your home and meet your family, where we do a deep dive into your senior's interests, hobbies, medical history, and goals with their new home. We also want to understand your finances to recommend a community that will deliver the care required without breaking your budget. Using what we have learned, we create a list of options that fit your situation. We then take your senior on a personalized tour of our community recommendations to show them firsthand what their life can be like in their new home. Successful placement in a senior community depends on factors such as the personal living space, level of social interaction, and attentiveness of the staff and medical professionals. When your family makes a decision, we want to ensure that it is the right one that will improve and enhance the quality of life of your mom or dad.

Our services are 100% free to you, and we will be with you every step of the way. We can even help you navigate other aspects of transitioning a senior such as estate sale management or putting your family in touch with elder law attorneys. CarePatrol of Northern Delaware and South Chester is the one-stop shop that can help you and your family find the correct level of care for your loved one.
